Mrs. Haley’s class traded the classroom for the great outdoors today for an exciting nature walk! Our tiniest explorers put on their "observation hats" to discover the wonders of the world around them.
From spotting tiny insects to collecting interesting leaves and listening to the birds, it was a morning filled with curiosity and fresh air. There is so much to learn when the earth becomes your classroom! Watching these students connect with nature and practice their science skills in the wild was the absolute highlight of our day.

Today we are shining a very special spotlight on the leader who keeps Strayhorn Elementary moving upward and onward—our wonderful principal, Mrs. Ricks! It is School Principal Day, and we want to take a moment to honor the vision, heart, and dedication she pours into our school every single day. Being a principal means wearing many hats, and Mrs. Ricks does it all with grace, from cheering on our students in the hallways to supporting our teachers and staff behind the scenes.
