IHS kicked off Kindness Week by welcoming the class of 2032 from Coldwater and East Tate . The students enjoyed seeing the facilities and talking with coaches and staff. We can't wait to have our newest Wildcats on campus next school year.
We rounded out spirit week with a red out at IHS today for the district championship! GO BIG RED and bring home the wins!

Independence High School recently welcomed Staff Sergeant Christian Barnes of the U.S. Air Force to all three College & Career Readiness classes. SSgt. Barnes, a 10 year veteran of the Air Force, explained his role as an aircraft engine mechanic in addition to being a recruiter. He also stressed the benefits offered by the Air Force, among them education, financial, and careers. At the end of his presentations, SSgt. Barnes allowed students to sign up to receive additional information, with junior Kadie Johnson taking advantage of this opportunity.

Independence High School welcomed Sergeant First Class (SFC) William Moski to all three College & Career classes today. SFC Moski, an 18 year veteran of the U.S. Army, pointed out the numerous job opportunities available by serving in the Army. He also explained how the GI Bill provides a veteran the opportunity to obtain a degree from a college or university.

Independence High School welcomed several members of the Army National Guard to all three College & Career classes today. Staff Sergeant (SSgt) Quin Martin, along with Private First Class (PFC) Luis Martinez and Private Arkenya Armstrong, explained how the National Guard can prepare students for various careers in addition to other educational opportunities.
